FARM IN SHANKSVILLE AT SUNSET

"..It’s like the shadowy fence in the foreground dares me to stay back, while the warm light of the sky and windows in the background beckons me forward. The image invites me to decide my response, so I’m not just a passive viewer but a participant in the moment you’ve created - I’m hooked!"

This won "The Peoples Choice Award" for August edition of PleinAir Salon.

WHETHER YOU LOVE LANDSCAPE OR STILL LIFE. TANA PAINTS BEAUTIFUL VERSIONS OF THEM ALL FOR YOUR HOME.

TREE IN AUTUMN BY LAKE

I painted this Tree from a Photo I took walking around our little Lake in 2019.  I worked on this painting approximately 5 months over a span of 2 years.  To the painter, trees represent life and their branches symbolise the different decisions and paths that we choose.  Each twist and turn in our life journey may lead to a phase of fruition or dryness. Trees also weather periods of snow, hail, thunderstorm, lightning, rain, draught, and sunshine. I have taken other photo's of this Tree in different Seasons and plan to paint a series showing  the beauty of trees in all seasons.  I have taken many photo's of other beautiful trees surounding our little lake that I want to paint in the future.

SILVER SANDS BEACH

This painting I started for a good friend, Lorraine, who lived in Oxford, Conn. and loved coming to Silver Sands Beach. I met Lorraine through a wonderful Marco Polo Group I connected with at the beggining of Covid. I visted this group of ladies in Summer 2020.  While I was there I went to Silver Sands for a day and took 100's of Photos. I found out a year later that Lorraine had cancer of the throat.  She fought that cancer for over a year and in November 2022 I deceided to paint this to cheer her up. I was so saddened when I found out from our Calvary Polo group that she had complications and passed suddenly. Rest in peace my dear friend.
